Tracking Blood Sugar
Checking your blood sugar regularly is one way to take an active role in your diabetes care. If you build it into your daily routine of things you do every day, like making coffee in the morning, you may find that it makes it easier to remember. And, when you keep a record of your readings and track your blood sugar over time, you can find out how well your meal plan, activity plan, and medicine are working together. Watching your numbers lets you and your health care provider check your progress and see if your diabetes care plan needs to change.
